A Beer Bong and Body Shots – Things Your Children Know About

By admin

When discussing underage drinking, most people believe that a wide majority of the population participates in this epidemic when they enter college and drinking games or the use of a beer bong is more prevalent. Sadly, this is not the case. Close to eleven percent of eight grades, twenty two percent of high school sophomores, and twenty nine percent of high school seniors have participated in binge drinking.

Close to one million high school students participate in binge drinking on a regular basis whether it is at a party with a beer bong or popular drinking games. Whether it is due to curiosity, addiction, or as a way to alleviate stress, this has become a huge issue. These same teenagers are also much more likely to participate in other activities like drug use or other thrill seeking behaviors. These include using recreational or addicting drugs like marijuana, cocaine, and heroine, or engaging in unprotected sex, sex with multiple partners, or burglary.

There are various warning signs that you much keep an eye out for to see if someone is drinking underage. Low grades are on common factor. Others include a sudden loss of interest in activities, school related clubs or sports, or any other activity or hobby they previously took part in. If they suddenly stop training for a marathon or other activity they had been planning towards, then you know there might be an underlying issue.

If you have noticed that your child has been showing signs of any of these behaviors, then it is important to intervene. Be sure to stress the fact that they cannot drink alcohol until they turn 21 years old. After they have reached this age, it is important to lay out the rules of responsible drinking habits. Many families do not wish to think that their child participates in underage drinking. This ignorance could lead to your child possibly suffering from some alcohol related incidents at some point. It is impossible for a parent to be with their child around the clock, so it is important to intervene before they begin to participate in underage drinking.
